Hints for winning the Russell Library Games, August 2026 Edition

Alright players, we’re throwing you for another loop! In August you’ll want to keep your eye on our events calendar, because program attendance will earn you 150 points apiece (up from the usual 25). Swing by any of our public service desks afterwards to collect your earnings. We’re also hosting a Game Changer day during our Summer Reading Finale on Saturday, August 15. There will be up to 750 Game Changer points up for grabs if you can find the QR codes in our building. That one day only, you could earn 1200+ points in total, but you do have to show up to get them!

As happens at the beginning of each month, Frances is also on the move again. Follow the clues below to find her.

In the Building

1. Summer reading is wrapping up this month. Where do you go to cast your ticket(s) for your preferred prize(s)?
2. We keep multiple copies of the most in-demand titles on this handy stand.

5. Under a set of stairs, you can find books by authors ranging from James Joyce to Sophie Kinsella.
6. For those who want to listen to books rather than read them and prefer physical formats over downloadables.
7. This section of our collection contains poetry and plays.
8. Looking for a book you can pay to keep? Check the back corner shelf.
9. Don’t write in our copy of the New York Times’ crossword puzzle! Take it here to make yourself a copy instead.
10. These are the books that stay in the library. They are separated because they cannot be checked out.
