Hints for winning the Russell Library Games, October 2026 Edition
Spooky season has officially arrived, and we’re here for it! After all, Russell Library is “the Most Haunted Library in Connecticut.” How did we come upon that title, you ask? By way of multiple investigations conducted by the Eastern CT Paranormal Society (ECPS) over the course of several years. If you want to learn more (and move up the scoreboard), mark your calendar for Wednesday, October 28th at 6pm when you can hear ECPS tell tale about their findings within our historic building. Not only will their presentation send shivers down your spine, but this will be a Game Changer event during which you may collect a scary sum of points.
In October, you will find Frances at locations throughout the Library where ECPS had spirited encounters. Descriptions of what happened will appear next to Frances, and scanning her QR codes will yield you 150 points apiece this month only.
We’re also upping the point value for finding Frances in our newsletters and on our website to 150 points a pop. Make sure you’re signed up to receive our emails and get ready to do some searching online.
Frances is on the move again, and this time she’s hiding in plain sight. Like a specter in the shadows, Frances’ whereabouts will remain a mystery until you stumble upon them. That is, unless you know where ECPS detected activity within our walls…

As usual, there will be 10 Frances medallions placed in various locations around Russell Library, but you will have to hunt for them the old fashioned way: by walking around with your eyes peeled and mind open. You won’t find hints in this blog post, but if you read all the way to the bottom you might just learn where to look for clues…

Since you stuck with us to the bitter end, you can earn the highest point value on offer this month by submitting your Russell Library memories through this form. When we see that it is genuinely completed (copy/pasting lorem ipsum doesn’t count) we’ll award you 1876 points. Don’t forget to include your player name so we know who to give the points to! You can simply sign off with your username at the end of your memory form – that is where we will look for it.
As a final note, you might be wondering what’s with the numbers 150 and 1876 in the Games… welp, the latter is the year that Russell Library opened its doors to the Middletown public, and the former is the number of years we have served this wonderful community.
